I have just returned from a trip to Tangalooma where I was going to take a whale watch tour.

The first morning I walked from the resort to photograph the wrecks, stopping along the way back to photograph the patterns left in the sand by the outgoing tide. I then explored the resort before taking a boat tour of the same wrecks where they fed the fish. The sunset that night was very nice.

The next day I photographed the local pelicans and did some more exploring of the resort before boarding the boat for the whale watch tour. Unfortunately the whales were not very plentiful and the only breaching we saw was in the distance. We did however come across a mother and baby that were gently swimming around the area and I managed to photograph "bits" of them as they surfaced. It was still a very lovely tour and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Whales are wonderful and I was lucky to have experienced their time alongside our boat.
