On Day 2 we headed back to the U Bein Bridge for sunrise where we were also able to visit the local farms - the best and most unexpected surprise for me was watching the 800+ ducks and geese being let out for the day and making a rush to the river. We then had time to wander around the bridge photographing the people and their wares.

We then travelled by bus to the ferry, which took us across the Myitnge River to the ancient Ava City where we ate lunch at Ava Maria. After lunch we took a fun trip in a horse and cart for a very bumpy ride to the Kyanug Shwe In Bin teakwood temple and monastery and the Bagaya Monastery where we saw the novice monks in class and met with the local nuns.

We then caught the ferry back to our bus and then headed to the Sagaing Hill Temple for sunset. From the top of the hill there was a magnificent view of many other temples with their golden domes.
