Day 6 saw us rising very early to travel to the Thitsawadi Temple to photograph the sunrise. We were entertained there by some squirrels scurrying about among the ruins of a wall.

After this we headed to the Tri Pagoda Region. I was amazed at the intricate plaster work on one of the pagodas, sadly having lost large pieces due to the ravages of time and earthquakes. But everywhere there were people restoring the pagodas as evidenced by their bamboo scaffolding.

Then we headed to Minnanthu Village where we discovered a lovely old lady smoking a home-made cigar. She was kind enough to stand there while we bombarded her with our cameras. Then we were also lucky enough to find a couple of what are referred to "long necks", the ladies with the brass rings around their necks, who also were kind enough to let us photograph them.

After leaving there we went and visited the Mya Thit Sar Lacquerware Work Shop. We saw the processes from the original bamboo construction through to the detailed carvings to the finished products. Extremely labour and time intensive.

Then we had lunch at the Seven Sisters Restaurant then back to the hotel for a small rest before heading out again. A couple of us walked through the hotel taking a few photos of the corridors and artworks.
