We rose early on Day 8 to take photos of the sunrise over the countryside below Mount Popa and the sun shining it's forst light on the Popa Taung Kalat (Mount Popa Monastery) perched on top of a giant mesa-like structure.
I then wandered around the gardens at the resort and was struck by the beauty of the plantings and landscape. Elephants and parasols everywhere!
In the afternoon we then travelled to Kalaw via Meiktila City where we had lunch. Tea was at Kalaw.
